Mysticism of Poetry

„One of the deepest longings of the human soul is to be seen.“
(John O’Donohue)

Why are we here? When we look at the heart of each religion one will find a common initial thread – we all bear a spark of the divine within ourselves. And we are here to become aware of this spark, to bring it forth and make it shine and sparkle. It is our heart’s desires and our creativity, the divine creative power within us, that guide us in finding our spark.

The ardent wish to be creative, imaginative and to enable the soul to manifest the purpose of life lies dormant in each one of us. Each one has brought his very own gifts and abilities to the Earth. No matter what these gifts are – it is essential to find the path to our inmost spark, to our divine soul and to make it manifest in life.

“Each of us is an artist of our days; the greater our integrity and awareness, the more original and creative our time will become.”

(John O'Donohue, To Bless the Space Between Us: A Book of Blessings)

Yet it often is not easy to find out, what our heart’s desires are and what our soul is aspiring and yearning for. Expectations, childhood experiences, belief systems, habit patterns and inherited reactions get into the way and obfuscate the vision of our true soul. And still we are longing so much to be seen and respected as that what we are.

As soon as we begin to follow our aspiration, we begin to walk our path of healing and deliverance towards the realisation of our inmost self. And the more we approach healing, love, perfection, clarity and divine truth the clearer and more truthful our heart’s desires will emerge.

My way has always been the way of poetry. It has been a mystical and healing way. The book "Reise der Hoffnung" reflects this path of development and awareness. First, I wrote about everyday experiences and encounters. At some point, I found amazed that "it wrote me". The words seemed to flow into my head, into my heart and from there onto the paper. It was some kind of inner hearing and I saw the pictures as little inner films passing behind my eyes. I found myself in a wonderful world of imagination and inspiration.

To be creative, to write, always pushed me forward and helped me to overcome my limits again and again, to reach out for even higher inspiration and truth. What has kept me moving was the music. Music literally lifted me to even newer, higher insights and experiences, which I then tried to pull down from "there" to the here and onto a piece of paper. It was an everlasting giving and receiving.

"Poetry and music are two expressions of the same regions, namely those of the soul and of the mind: where music rules, so does poetry. ... The music gives you all the favorable conditions, ... like the wind that inflates the sail of your boat: the boat goes away, sailing towards a new world, the divine world. The music is a powerful help to the realization. ... true poetry is the divine Logos itself. ... True poetry awakens in man the memory of his heavenly home, makes his spiritual strings sound, gives him energy to renew his life. "

                                                                       (Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, Mystiker)

This yearning, stretching and searching, pushing boundaries, working on oneself and evolving will continue. I too have not arrived yet.

But there has also been a deep desire to share the received, the insights into this beautiful, wholesome world of inspiration and imagination and also my experiences, to contribute something for the people and this world, to maybe give a healing touch, to give courage and to give joy.

„The search for meaning is really the search for the lost chord. When the lost chord is discovered by humankind, the discord in the world will be healed and the symphony of the universe will come into complete harmony with itself.“

(John O’Donohue)
